Khao Hom guesthouse courtyard

Our Story

Hospitality shaped by years of listening

Khao Hom began as a simple idea — to give passing travellers the kind of rest that large hotels rarely manage. Quiet, personal and genuinely warm.

Who We Are

A guesthouse built from a traveller's perspective

Khao Hom opened its doors in Bang Sao Thong after the family behind it spent years watching travellers struggle with the gap between an early landing and a late departure — forced into expensive airport lounges or uncomfortable waiting areas when all they needed was a quiet room and a proper shower.

The name Khao Hom — which means fragrant rice in Thai — reflects the warmth and nourishment we want every guest to feel during their stay. We are not a large hotel chain. We are a small, carefully managed property with a team that pays attention to the small things: a freshly made bed, a kettle that is already filled, a note about your departure time on the bedside table.

Our location in Samut Prakan places us within easy reach of Suvarnabhumi Airport without the congestion of the terminal zone. Guests often tell us the short drive feels like arriving somewhere rather than simply waiting somewhere — and that matters to us.

Our Mission

To give every guest — whether they have six hours or twenty-four — a space that feels genuinely restful rather than merely functional. Clean, calm and attended with care.

Our Values

Honesty, quietness and real attention. We do not overpromise. We keep things clean, maintain our rooms carefully and treat every guest as if they are the only one on the property.

Our Approach

We adapt to your schedule rather than ask you to adapt to ours. Flexible check-in, flight-aware wake-up calls and a shuttle that runs when you need it — not only when it suits us.

Our Standards

How we keep things at their best

We hold our property to a consistent set of standards — not because we have to, but because tired guests deserve nothing less.

Deep-clean protocols

Every room is cleaned thoroughly between guests using a structured checklist. Bed linen and towels are changed every time, without exception.

Safe and secure property

All rooms use electronic key cards. The property is monitored and our front desk is staffed around the clock so no one enters or leaves unnoticed.

Consistent room quality

Each room is inspected before every check-in. If anything is not right — a bulb, a mattress, a door seal — it is attended to before the guest arrives.

Guest data handled with care

We collect only what we need, store it securely and do not share it with third parties. Your stay details are kept private.

Maintained shuttle vehicles

Our transport fleet is serviced regularly. Vehicles are clean, air-conditioned and checked before each run so guests travel in comfort.

Feedback taken seriously

Every comment from a guest is read by management. When something is raised more than once, it becomes a task — not a note on a list.

A guesthouse that understands transit

Travellers passing through Bangkok come in many different shapes: business passengers with a tight connection, families on long-haul journeys who need to regroup, solo wanderers who want to sleep off a red-eye before moving on. Khao Hom was set up with all of these people in mind.

The guesthouse sits in Bang Sao Thong — a quiet part of Samut Prakan that is close enough to Suvarnabhumi to reach the terminal without stress, yet far enough from the airport zone to feel like a neighbourhood rather than a transit hub. Guests often mention how quickly the noise of travel fades once they arrive.

Our team has been refining the same set of practices for many years: how to prepare a room quickly and thoroughly, how to run a shuttle that passengers actually trust, how to serve a light breakfast that holds someone through a long journey. These are small skills, but they are the ones that matter when you are tired and far from home.

Come and see what a proper rest feels like

Whether you have a few hours or a full night, we will make sure your time at Khao Hom is calm and well spent.
